It’s always good to step back and remember to look for the good. I agree with the father-in-law. It’s there. Sometimes it’s hidden, but that just means you have to search harder
I have not commented on your writings yet, but this week's writing was particularly inspiring. Thank you, Tom! I was saddened and stunned to read a venomous response that spewed negativity. Such irony in light of your inspiring message! When I read hateful words of judgement thrown at a particular group of people- especially using blanket statements about that group's morality and intellect- I reflect on the definition of the word bigot: "One who regards or treats the members of a group with hatred and intolerance." Thank you for yet another opportunity to exercise grace to the naysayers.
Where is the good or the grace in Trump and this supporters who are spewing hatred against Jews, people of color, gays, trans, and other minority groups? Didn't Jesus say "whatsoever you do for the least of these, you do to me"? Where is the good or the grace in those who support stripping away our rights through their fascist ways? Where is the good or the grace in those who LIE continuously about the outcome of an election that without question was FREE and FAIR? I disagree that there is good in everyone because we are witnessing evil daily in the Trumpists who are doing all they can to destroy our nation and our democracy. Like their dear leader, they are bankrupt morally and intellectually.
A beautiful read and a reminder to all that being critical of others can be shallow. We need to look deeper and realize the uniqueness of all. It’s there…find the love and grace. Heart warming thoughts!

Apparently hate does have a home.
